Well, if you’re reading this you probably know it but humor me.

1. ALL Planet Oceans use the Caliber 2500C movement, the third generation co-axial 2500 movement using a revolutionary new escapement design that enhances longevity, durability, and accuracy. The 2500C is a modified ETA 2892 exclusive to Omega but still produced by ETA.
2. The black bezel, white numeral PO is the most popular model sold and one of the most popular Omega’s sold in Europe and North America. In Asia, the Constellation is the most popular.
3. As tested by DOXA in the 70s, orange is the most legible color underwater. If you’re following the true spirit of a dive watch, you should pick an orange/orange version like above.
4. One of the key differences between the 42mm and 45mm versions of the Planet Ocean are the bezel teeth. The 45mm have castle style and the 42mm are… teethy.
5. Along with the Railmaster, the Planet Ocean is one of the very few Omegas that has not been produced with a quartz movement. The Speedmaster, the Constellation, the other Seamasters, the Aquaterras, etc all have been made in quartz forms at one point.

Now you can include Number 6; the new AR coating they use on the external face of the crystal that doesn’t have the purplish-blue hue now. =)
