Sure they make some attractive watches but what have they done that’s really innovative? I really like their SMG-1 but their modifications to it have been sort of a failure and they had to discontinue it and refit problematic ones to be sans mods.

Here are my rules for used/old watches:

A. If watch is 15+ seconds slower or faster with a lot of variation, get it serviced.

B. If watch is 15+ seconds slower or faster with little variation, get it regulated or do my own.

C. If the watch is vintage with a unique movement with hard to find [...]

Bremont Martin Baker 1.5 on Desert Strap

If it isn’t obvious, I’m a big fan of Bremont. The brand may not be very old but their putting a lot of competitive pressure for classic looking watches with a lot of innovative case technology. In my opinion, they’ve surpassed Sinn and Damasko in innovation on that front.
